Application and Admission Process

Applicants (Israeli and non-Israeli citizens) should hold or be entitled to an undergraduate/BA or graduate/Masters degree, or currently be enrolled in an undergraduate program (close to completion of their degree by the beginning of the Summer Program). Degrees and studies are acceptable from all the social sciences, the liberal arts or the humanities.

The basic admission requirement is at least an 80 average in the candidate's degree program to date. Recognizing that standards and grading systems vary from country to country, our Admissions Committee will examine each request on an individual basis.

Applicants should be proficient in English.

Total tuition for the full program (8 credits, 4 courses) is $2,720. In addition there is a non-refundable 100$ application fee.

The tuition covers only the courses, full day study tours and extracurricular activities. It does not cover other expenses, such as health insurance, living costs, housing and flights. See below various available scholarships and convenient housing possibilities near BIU.

Students will receive a university issued transcript listing courses and grades upon completion of course requirements.

Registration for the 2018 Summer Program is now open and is on a rolling basis. Early registration is recommended to guarantee a place in the program (space is limited), to obtain a visa (where necessary), to secure places in a more affordable housing (e.g., the Givat Shmuel Yeshiva).
